Ha! I've thought that about a LOT of people who think they can sing, lol!

I happen to like the JoBros for what they're marketed for...Disney age kids. We had a lot of fun at the concert.

It's the complete whiney-ness of his voice that kills me. I don't see how you made it through that concert.

Joe does most of the front vocals for JB but Nick and Kevin do some too. Nick plays several instruments (guitar, piano, drums). It only makes sense that he'd go out on is own at some point. And, if you ever had a daughter who absolutely adored them, you'd have a blast just watching her and all the other little girls squeal, lol.

I did actually see part of one of their concerts on cable. I thought it was funny that you see them out front in the spotlight, then, over to the side are some overweight, middle age guys actually playing! Look close at some concert footage sometime.

i've never really paid attention to a jonas bro concert, but i noticed pretty much that with nick & admin...nick was holding the guitar...his left hand moved on the fret board some...but he didn't seem to be doing much else with it...meanwhile this 30 or 40 something guy with an afro is wailing away on his guitar

Yep, same scene at the concert...many guitarists and other musicians off to the side.

And none of the squeelie little girls noticed the old guys really making the music!! LOL It's been going on for a long, long time though. Way before the Jo-Bros.

#1 They ARE girls for heaven's sake! :-P Girls wouldn't notice that the sky was the wrong color if there are hot guys holding guitars on a huge stage, lol.
#2 Most non-musicians wouldn't have noticed. Usually, fans are standing there, in awe, trying to get the best look they can, of the band, as long as they are on stage. They don't notice all the people helping the band. Subconsciously, they just think those other people "holding" (playing) the other guitars are just holding them for the band :-P

I only know this 'cause I used to be a stupid young girl. I'm not sure when I actually started noticing all the goings-on backstage, but I know that the reason I notice it is because it's actually topic in the crowd I "run" with but not the rest of the people I know. If you ever try to talk to someone who doesn't understand bands, music, gigs, gear, sound, etc., they either look at you, dumbfounded, or like "you think you're so smart because you know the lingo". It's funny how something so comfortable to one is so foreign to another that neither can see the other's point-of-view until it's pointed out, lol. Whew, that's kinda confusing.

i always found it strange as a kid when a band on tv would be "playing" a song and it fades out at the end and they look like they don't know how to end it

didn't realize till later they weren't really playing, they were miming to their record

I heard that the one guitar player, Nick I presume, is the only one playing, if it's him at all.

The other brother simply holds a guitar and looks like he's doing something. They turn him way down, and he's just there to look like he's important.

Merely what someone told me, I've never actually seen these kids...live or on footage.

from the looks of it on his performance on dave letterman that got me to start this topic, it really didn't look or sound like nick was playing his guitar
