New Year's Eve with TaaXi at the Frosty Mugg

Postby Xmax on Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:32 pm

the ark-la-tex's newest and grooviest band will be making a debut on new years eve at the wonderful frosty mug. How did we manage a Coup like this?? I don't have a clue.......the same person that owns the FM, also owns the old Country Connection, Doyles and all the others it has been, and is opening up, We thought for new years, but now apparently will not open up until after the first of the year. so there you go........

Actually we were looking for something to do and this popped up so what the heck, may as well start the new year with a new band and nice big BANG. Since I've not played a new years eve in 28 years and we as a band haven't played out at all, so drip by and see us......(like that's gonna happen, but it sounded coool ....) I have no idea what time. but we'll find out. Happy new year!!

Well, then, it looks like my NYE gig is canceled. I'm glad you said something; none of the band has been notified about this yet.

At this point, it's what I've been told by Jeff, and Jeff shattered his heel at work falling off a ladder today and is having surgery thursday, so I don't know. sounds like something odd here, and I'm not the one that booked it. we'll have to see what's going on then, and I have no idea when he'll be able to talk to me with the surgery and all. But we've got 10 days yet so we'll see.

Steve, is this the project that you mentioned to me at Superior recently? Glad to see that you're getting it up and rolling! Give 'em hell!

Well, we got switched apparently because they didn't have the liquor license yet, but if they've got it now, I then I don't know.

I did talk to jeff yesterday. he's in Wadley in room 442. he doesn't know when hes' getting out, but his heel was litterly shattered and has about 130 fractures in it.He told me he fell off a 12 ' ladder at players while taking down some neon. they are going to do something down the road, but he's not sure when. they may put it in a cast and let it sit for a week or two. he doesn't know.

and yes, we'll be playing new years, but I'm not sure where. we'll get back to you on that!!
