Very successful show all way 'round last night at The Corner Cafe' !
THE UNFIT MOTHERS were positively smokin' they were so hot...LOL! They were about as steely-eyed & focused as I've ever seen them, and you could tell they weren't taking this gig lightly at all. This band has certainly stepped up their game since right before their SCUMFEST II appearance, and last night's performance evidenced that fact quite nicely.
This band doesn't get anywhere near the attention & respect locally they deserve, in my opinion...but they continue to improve & mature with each show regardless.
Next up was HEAVY LEFT HAND, comprised of Dan Nash, Jeff Primm, Tony Primm, & Michael Carey. These guys did an impressive job, especially when you consider they learned all the newer material from copies of the newly-released CD, "Over The Counter" with very few, if any combined practices.
Front-man Dan Nash has amazing skills as a singer-songwriter, and the compliment of musicians backing him last night were certainly up to the task. They must have fed off the high energy performance that preceded them, because they definitely followed suit with one of their own! I look forward to more from HLH!
BLACK WATER finished up the night's entertainment, and it became very apparent why this band is considered one of the premiere acts in North West Arkansas. Very professional in their approach, highly seasoned, & well practiced...these guys were operating on the next level for sure. The crowd got into it, and it wasn't long before the ladies were up & dancing. I would definitely see this band again.
I have no idea how things went elsewhere last night, but one thing is for sure...there was some fantastic live music entertainment at The Corner Cafe' last night.
