M212 returns to El Dorado for an up close & personal VIP Story Teller performance! The band will perform their originals interspersed with running commentary on how the songs came to be, and will interact with the audience in a question & answer session as well.

Well, actually it is a parking lot, but for some insane reason I'll never understand...it's called "Oil Heritage Park". Okay, okay... so there are a couple of statues, a piece of oil field equipment, & some bronze plaques documenting the discovery of oil in Union County, so that explains that...LOL!

Sami, you can certainly bring lawn chairs if you wish...a lot of folks do, but they usually bring in several sets of bleacher seating as well. As for vendors, I'm not sure...other than beer of course, which is supplied by the local Budweiser Distributor, Hepco, Inc. who is the sponsor for this event. They have a table set up to check I.D.'s & to acquire an armband, tokens, or coupons for beer.

Main Street El Dorado may provide a booth for water & soft drinks...You can give them a call at (870) 862-4747.

Also, if you're making the trip over...you might consider coming early enough for the "Showdown At Sunset" on the courthouse square one block up from the Summer Concert Series. It's a recreation of the historic gun battle that took place there in the early 1900's. They have a musical act, actors in period clothing, & a narrator telling the story of how it all happened... folks running, guns blasting, it's pretty cool if you've never seen it. Admission is free. Kids always get a kick out of it...LOL! Main Street El Dorado can give you all the info for that as well.

Sami, if what I saw last night at the Laredo Grill from M212 was any indication...We're all in for a treat tonight in El Dorado!

It was great to see the guys again, & last night's performance just reminded us all again why this particular band is so favored here. Every time they swing back through here it's more like seeing old & dear friends than just some touring band that we enjoy...LOL!

I had to secure a different sound engineer & set-up for the show at the last minute, so I was there early when the guys were loading in. As I walked up on the side walk, & they saw me approaching...they all dropped what they were doing & damn near tackled me..LOL!

There was a huge turn-out for the show on the patio, & we're expecting more of the same tonight as well!

I've only seen M212 once and thought they were great! They opened for Egypt Central (who I wasn't nearly as impressed with). I read that they lost their keyboard player (Steve) but they're good enough that I'm sure they've found a way to compensate for the loss. I'm really excited about this show...gonna head out in a couple of hours or so :D Since they're friends of yours...you should introduce me, if you get a chance. That would be most awesome!

My daughter has heard Good Morning Again...this was not long after we lost Scott so she made a real connection with this song and she's just as excited as I am about seeing them. Of course, we already LOVE Junior (both my kids and my sister included) so this outta be well worth the trip for us.

Also, I wasn't able to reach Main Street Eldorado...so, we're gonna get there sometime around 7:30. I hope that's a good time. I just assume they'll do the Showdown at Sunset sometime around sunset :D Junior's site says the show starts at 7 but you put that it starts at 8. I hope we don't miss anything....

Glad you could make it, & even more glad that you enjoyed it...sorry I didn't get to see you though.

I did get to see Rebel Yell, Deepo, & Liquid Anthem, though...it was a great day of live music entertainment all the way 'round that's for sure!
