Mystery Machine @ Quincey's - 8/21

Postby SmittyG on Sat Aug 15, 2009 11:33 pm

Mystery Machine will take the stage at Quincey's Irish Pub next Friday, Aug 21st, from 8pm to midnight. If you know us, you know what to expect. If you don't, well, leather could be helpful.

I just got back from Q's; I was checking out Dan Sanchez and the band. Rick Willis (who I last saw with Stan Hoffman's band a couple of years ago) was flat smokin' on that bass. I'm having a major case of "I'm not worthy" right now. I'll put in about 12 hours of practice between now and the show to try and get over that. :)

Thursday bump. I'm actually looking forward to this. I would really like to gig a lot more often than I do so the few times I get to perform are pretty special. Plus, this will be my first show with the weird ass tuning on my bass so I'm going to enjoy all the looks from the guys when I play the wrong chord. :)

Just one more workday between me and the party tonight. I'm SO looking forward to this show. The fact that I really, really love Quincey's onion rings just makes it all that much better.

Thanks to the Quincey's crew for having us out and for taking such good care of us. Our appreciation also goes out to all the folks who came out to the show. And my special thanks to my band mates for putting up with my ass. I had a VERY good time tonight--and I really needed the 'win'.
