actually, I have the same voice range. steve perry, kenny loggins and others have the same voice range and that stuff is HELL to sing sometimes. mr flatt is Lester Flatt's grandson. You know, Flatt and Scruggs? I don't do bluegrass, but give him some credit.....he has a strange, very high voice, but does present the material well.
I was in reference to the production. they get some great songs to do. Some body's picking some killer material. I have had friends that are fans of both Country AND Western who have been to their concerts, and they sing off key on occasion. I've heard some rock acts do the same. Restless Heart is of the same in respect to the material but it's less pop and rock, and more country, even texas country. alott have done their stuff.
I'll give you something to think about. One of my most favorite artists in the Early 70's was looked in an odd way outside of the music community because if his hair, dress and voice. but he had a way of selling a song and he never wavered on his style. his initials?? GV frankly, I don't care what drives someone, I'm focusing on the music. and emulating only the music in my work.
ok. We all have our different opinions on quality of artists and material, I certainly look at things a little different to most. if you understand now, I'm laughing.............
