No problem...you guys deserve it. I've heard a lot about your band, but that was my first opportunity to actually see & hear for myself, and like I said...I was highly impressed.
The other acts I really enjoyed were Trey Johnson & The Droppers, Wind Storm, Pail, & most especially...Midnight To Twelve. In all honesty...with their track record, the large following they have in El Dorado, & their proven performances & popularity...it is an absolute travesty that they were not given a Main Stage slot. All during the night, I heard numerous people voicing the same opinion over & over.
Special mention goes to Heavy Left Hand & Blackwater, who packed the Corner Cafe' to capacity, and had one of the rowdiest, & vocal... party crowds I've ever seen in that venue, bar none. The venue acts are most often some of the best acts at Music Fest, & this year certainly proved no different. Kudos goes to T-Rocks member DurtyT, who did an excellent job holding down the bass line with Heavy Left Hand. You guys rocked!
I didn't catch any of the Main Stage acts, because frankly...there was nothing there that interested me at all.
As for Main Street El Dorado & Music Fest El Dorado...they've been at it for 22 years, & they've gotten some things down right for sure. But, there's always room for improvement & they have the tendency sometimes to overbook acts whose popularity has waned, or to book acts whose popularity is limited to only one demographic.
The attendance for Friday night was lower than I have ever seen in several years, but Saturday night's attendance was somewhat more normal. The EHS home football game on Friday contributed to that, as well as the state of the economy. I think there were a lot of people who chose to attend only one night in an effort to save some bucks.
