Meadows @ Timothys, a little Trey J and Mic'd Music

It was fun to break out a few classical and jazz tunes at my last go at Timothy's Grill. I'll be there again this Saturday night (Nov. 21st).

I've also enjoyed my recent gigs at Hopkins Ice house and I'll be back again on the 27th of November.... day after Thanksgiving.

On the gig front, I have to give much respect to Trey Johnson for playing a vital part in my search for gigs in this area. Not only is he a great musician on stage but he carries that quality off stage by bouncing one of his gigs my way or putting in a good word for me. Having that trust with a fellow musician is crucial to insuring stability in our jobs. And I haven't even had him over for dinner yet. However, I have had Michael from Mic'd music over for dinner and he makes a mean steak. Those out there who have not been to Mic's new location you should drop by and see us sometime. I've moved my students from the Texarkana Academy of Music to his new place on Summerhill and the vibe is nice. Very creative and its good to be teaching in the same building as Cody Pappas. It seems like Michael gets a new trade-in guitar every week, and lately he's been getting some nice jazz guitars. All good stuff...
