Mic'd Music Open Jam, Tues Mar 16, 7pm

Postby SmittyG on Mon Mar 01, 2010 9:57 pm

Well, folks, it's that time again. The last jams have kicked ass with each one getting better and better. I am really looking forward to this one and I hope a certain young lady will allow me to share the stage with her once more.

As before, we will have drums, percussion, amps and PA. You just need to bring your sticks, axes, voices and appreciation for a good musical time. This is all ages and open to everyone.

I think this should fall on spring break, at least for the TX side schools. I'm hoping to give the younger players a chance to rock out with the veterans. I'm looking forward to having another great jam! :D

Just remember, if you are looking for musicians to fill out a band or for some folks to jam with, a lot of people have been able to find such individuals by attending jams. I know a rock band that found a new drummer at a jam a week ago. So, if you are looking for that possibility, or want a chance to play with some different folks, the jams are a possible solution for you.

Next Tuesday. Make sure you put it on your calendars. For the Texas side, it's Spring Break so maybe our young rock stars in training can come out and get some stage experience.

It was a great jam! Thanks to everyone who came out and to Smitty for helping get the word out and managing the roster. If you didn't make it you missed some really nice moments. Hopefully by the next one I'll have the Q3 video cam in. Thanks again for coming out. We'll do it again.............I don't know when with summer coming up, the attendance has a tendency to dwindle, but we'll post the date when we pick it. Oh, and if you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks! :farris:
